Welcome Friends and Followers

I read a post by Christopher S. Penn today called, “Welcome Aboard!” It’s an introductory tour of his online presences to help integrate new followers and friends. To keep them coming around. Like how martial arts schools give you a free uniform or gyms have a tutorial session on using their equipment. Something to make you feel like you belong, instead of feeling like an outsider that must find your own way. So to follow his example, I’m going to give you a tour of my online presences: where they are and what you will find there.

Where can you find me?

I am active on:

  • Twitter (@Stacey_Alex)
    • Here you will find links to posts I find interesting (and ones I have written), retweets of quotes I like, and @ comments where I connect with people.
  • LinkedIn (LinkedIn.com/in/staceyalex)
    • Here you can learn all about my professional background, as well as updates similar to some of my tweets.
  • Facebook (my professional page Stacey Alex)
    • If you like my professional page, you can get updates sent directly to your news feed. I save this mostly for the posts I write and to calendar events I’m attending (or would like to attend).
  • YouTube (STACEYALEXcom channel)
    • My channel is a compilation of videos I have shot at social media events and favorites of videos I’ve used in my posts. There’s also one of me doing a ninja roll in the green room of the auditorium at work.
  • And here on my blog (StaceyAlex.com)
    • Since you’re already here, you probably have a good handle on what I use my blog for. However, in the interest of making you feel welcome and in the know, I will briefly explain it to you. My blog is my online brand hub. Here you can find links to all my other presences. I publish daily posts on news and information I’m learning in the social media field.

One more place

If you’re interested in who I follow in social media, you can check out my Twitter list of Social Media People, or visit my public NetVibes page (where I have gathered RSS feeds to influential blogs in the field).

What’s next?

As I grow in my online presences, I will continue to revamp this introduction post. So stay tuned for updates, and welcome! I’m glad we’re connected.
