I recently ordered something online that I had purchased a daily deal for. When the item came in the mail, the receipt had a hand written note on it from the owner.
At first, I thought it was one of those things that’s made to look like a hand-written note, but is really just printed on the paper by some computer program. But she spelled my name wrong, and then stuck a tiny e in there. And it turns out that someone really wrote on it with an actual pen.
I realize that it could have been one of her minions, and that I have no idea what her real signature is so I can’t verify it. But this could also still be a small company with an owner who still has time to personally write a thank you note to each person who orders her product.
Either way, I thought it was a nice touch. And I’m going to feel a bit sentimental when I use it.
